Casting Call
Casting takes place through our selected casting platform, Star Now through February and March. Those applying from the casting call will be required to submit a simple video audition. Cast from previous OMF features however, including Tariro, One Way Traffic and AfterAffects will not need to audition.

Be aware that although OMF feature movies have always featured experienced TV, movie and theatrical casts, some of whom flew thousands of miles to take part, as a self-funded zero budget project supporting charities and NFP organisations we are restricted financially. As such, cast and crew have always given of their time and skills voluntarily with no financial return.

Filming & locations
Set in the fictional Westbourne Bay, most filming will be in Southport through the second quarter of 2024 (April/May/June). As a zero budget production, applicants from Southport and its environs will be shown preference.
Cast & Crew Support
We fully understand that while cast & crew may well share our desire to create awareness of the issues driving Down & Out, in recognition of that support we should give back as much as we can, in kind if not financially. All credited cast & crew will therefore receive restricted access to download links for the completed film, clips can be provided for showreels and lead cast will be named in PR releases for the film. Should there be a live premiere screening, credited cast & crew will be invited.

Though a relatively short scene, being word perfect is crucial because it will be filmed as one long clip where camera angles and viewpoints prevent any prompts or use of teleprompt.
To avoid the general public, the scene will be filmed early on a Sunday morning in the centre of town where two people are walking along the footpath chatting and talking. You must be available on a Sunday and able to arrive in Southport by or before 8am.
To apply for this role, download the audition script and create a self tape video audition. This can be on your phone, a camcorder or any other means at your disposal. When complete you must forward your audition as an attachment to features@oldmanfilm.co.uk
